The rooms are tidy and spotless, and are complete with stunning view as well as good linen.

I had an extra special stay. Greatly enjoyed the place, it was lovely old fashioned and quirky and worked for me. The location was stunning and fantastic in the pretty comfortable area. You could walk to a market and shops. The free parking was onsite, marvellous service.

I loved the fantastic views from my room and the close proximity to the fine Crinan Canal, which allows for lovely walks and exploration. The setting reminded me of a peaceful retreat while still being near some charming landmarks.

Perfect for a relaxing getaway

The staff were accommodating, even without a reservation they made sure I was taken care of like a king. The seafood bar was really good, I had a seafood platter that was honestly the best I've ever had, couldn't believe the freshness.

It ain't the cheapest place out there, but trust me it's worth every penny.

The view across the sound of Jura was amazing. Dining at the restaurant was a highlight, with seafood so fresh it reminded me of it came straight from the boat. The decor is quirky and charming, although some might find the bathrooms a bit dated. The full Scottish breakfast provided a hearty start to our day, we were fueled for exploring the fine surroundings.

Fine views and good seafood

The amazing views across the canal, and the seafood served at the restaurant was fresh and full of flavor. The intimate atmosphere added to the charm. Some areas within the hotel felt a bit dated and could benefit from a refresh.

The restaurant's lighting was a bit too bright for my taste, could've used some candlelight charm. Some of the decor in the hallways seemed a tad worn, though everything still had its own sparkle.

Our room had amazing views of the canal locks, really enjoyed vegging out on the balcony. The staff were super friendly, and the breakfast was delicious, especially the seafood. Just a heads up, parking can be tricky since there's limited space right by the hotel, so plan ahead!

We enjoyed a lovely stay in a Superior Double Room where the view of the Jura was amazing, and the seafood dishes at dinner were some of the freshest we've ever tasted! The sun terrace was perfect for soaking up the sun, and the garden provided a nice spot to unwind after a long day. The only downside was that the room's carpet could use a good cleaning, but it didn't dampen our experience at all! 🌊

The location was beautiful and lovely, with easy access to a market and shops. the room was a nice size with views over the water, and I slept very well.
